ESPN (sorry CBS) is leading the sports pack again by introducing ESPNW! Hope we can get it soon.

WOMENS SPORTS FANS.....CHECK THIS OUT!!!

While not a huge fan of women's sports, I applaud this site dedicated to women's sports. And here I'm talking about college sports only, since I don't know that much about the WNBA, women's professional golf, and the like. The mere existence of Connecticut's winning streak in basketball should garner a lot of attention. Is there any sport anywhere that has a similar winning streak? I would have to do some research to find out about other winning streaks. The UCLA men's basketball team under John Wooden had a long winning streak, but not that long. Other teams have had long winning streaks, but I doubt if such dominance has existed in any other sport at the collegiate level or above.

Does anyone out there know? The presence of two Big 12 teams in the Final Four of the NCAA tournament is another story, as is the emergence of Baylor's Griner. Long overdue, yes. I wish the site well.
